The 7th production Britten-Norman Islander, here still in basic Simpson Air livery with whom it operated from 1977. Still current in 2015 with Gillam Air in northern Manitoba.

Notes: CF-DTN at Winnipeg in Apr73 -
Capital Air Surveys of Ottawa operated this ex-RCAF Beech 3N from 1969. It had a chequered career during which it got impounded at Prestwick on the way back from Algeria in 1981. Having been abandoned to its fate it ended up on the UK register as G-BKRN and has been restored to represent a US Navy UC-45J.

St. Andrews Airways operated this ex-RCAF Beech 3N from the Red River. By 1979 it had disappeared from the register.

Tomahawk Stores used this Beech C-45 to ship inventory to their Sandy Lake/ON outlet until it crashed at nearby Nungesser Lake on 07Feb75.

Notes: Pitcairn built only 6 examples of this autogiro for the British Air Ministry; of that handful, this is the sole survivor. Engine is a 7-cylinder Warner Super-Scarab 165D of 165 hp.

This highly advanced design of 1937 featured a variable-camber wing, an idea just coming into use on commercial airliners. Steve Wittman used this aircraft as a flying experimental testbed for 50 years. Engine was a Continental C-85.

One of two racers built by Keith Rider for the 1936 racing season, this craft represented the state of the art of the type. Power was from a 330-hp Menasco C-454.
