    Transferred to 98 SQN, RAF Jever, FRG.

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Royal Navy with s/n XE685.

    1960

    Converted to a Hunter GA.11.
    By Hawker Aircraft Ltd at Kingston-on-Thames.

    6 May 1963

    Transferred to 738 NAS, RNAS Lossiemouth.
    Operated with markings: 651, LM

    December 1963

    Transferred to 738 NAS, RNAS Brawdy.

    By December 1964

    Transferred to 764 NAS, RNAS Lossiemouth.
    Operated with markings: 693, LM
    Used for air warfare instructor training and conversion flights.

    October 1966

    Loaned to Hawker Siddeley, Dunsfold.
    Employed on practice bombing trials. It was fitted with four practice bomb carriers under the front fuselage and one under each pylon enabling the aircraft to carry eight 25lb bombs. It also undertook rocket projectile trials during its stay in Surrey.

    Notes: Still retaining the practice bomb carriers under the fuselage, GA.11 XE685-693 is towed out of one of the storage hangars at 5 MU, RAF Kemble, prior to being re-issued to a Naval unit.

    Markings changed to: 694, LM

    27 February 1969

    Transferred to Station Flight, RNAS Yeovilton.
    Operated with markings: 708, VL

    From November 1970 to 1972

    Transferred to 764 NAS, RNAS Lossiemouth.
    Operated with markings: 694, LM

    October 1972

    Transferred to ADTU, RNAS Yeovilton.
    Operated with markings: 731
