    According to Hurlburt, the plane operated as an agricultural sprayer for grasshoppers until that became unprofitable. The owners then flew contraband TV sets from Texas to Mexico, selling them out of the plane. On its 6th flight in that occupation it struck a cactus on landing and suffered damage. It was then returned to Laredo, TX to sit in open storage.

    Ferry flight. Delivered to Air Commando Park, Hurlburt Field (South West Side), Fort Walton Beach, FL.
    The airframe was donated to Hurburt Field by an individual.

    September 1987

    Pilot failed to file flight plan and had no radios; after radar picked up the aircraft, it was considered a drug smuggler and US Customs and DEA aircraft followed it to Hurlburt.
