    Placed on display with Air Training Corps Base, RAF Henlow, Bedfordshire.

    New serial number assigned: 7866M RAF
    Assigned maintenance serial at Henlow.

    To Yorkshire Air Museum, Elvington Airport, York, York, England.

    Notes: Vampire T.11 XH 278 was a gate guardian at an Air Training Corps unit at RAF Henlow.Bedfordshire in 1978.

    To Royal Oak Landscape Contractors, South Howdens, Felton, Morpeth.
    Aircraft was sold by MoD to Royal Oak.

    Restored.
    David Tappin comments (17 August 2022): Some restoration including re-covering the pod with Ceconite instead of original Madapolan. Static display at site.
