    From 9 July 1962 to 23 January 1974

    From 7 February 1978 to 4 March 1978

    To mark the 50th anniversary of Bert Hinklers record-breaking solo England- Australia flight in an Avro Avian, David Cyster staged a re-creation with his newly restored Tiger. He set off from Dunsfold, UK on 7 February 1978. In no way was it a record attempt, but, using just paper maps, he completed the 9,000-mile journey on 4 March by touching down in Darwin., Australia.
