    First flight.

    22 August 1974

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Royal Air Force with s/n XX734.

    Transferred to OCU, Lossiemouth.
    First with the and then to 6 Sqn at Coltishall.

    27 May 1979

    To British Aircraft Corporation with new c/r G-27-328.
    Returned to BAC for conversion to Jaguar International Standard.

    14 August 1980

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Indian Air Force with s/n JI014.
    Leased to the Indian Air Force.

    11 February 1982

    Returned to UK at Warton.

    2 June 1982

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Royal Air Force with s/n XX734.

    23 March 1983

    Assigned to RAF Shawbury for storage.

    12 November 1983

    Transferred to RAF Farnbourgh.
    Used as an instructional airframe.

    Transferred to RAF Coltishall, Norwich, Norfolk, England.

    New serial number assigned: 8819M RAF
    Utilized as an instructional airframe in battle damage repair (BDR) training duties at RAF Coltishall.

    Markings Applied: XX734
    There serial XX734 was not removed and the maintenance serial number was not applied.

    Ron Fulton comments (30 November 2015): The history becomes unclear at this point but it thought that she was used for explosive research in the Abingdon area (Harwell?), before being sold as scrap in Charlwood area, and then lent to the Gatwick Aviation Museum (GAM).

    Notes: This ex 6 Squadron Jaguar GR.1 is really looking shabby, here with the Gatwick Air Museum- albeit not on display. XX734 moved to Old Sarum, where it has clearly been lovingly restored.
