    Constructed as an U-1A.

    14 July 1960

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Army with s/n 59-2229.

    July 1960

    Transferred to Fort Benning, GA.

    January 1964

    Transferred to Golden Knights Parachute Team, Fort Bragg, NC.

    12 May 1981

    Together with sister ship 57-6135, it departed Ft. Bragg for Ft. Rucker, AL for storage. Enroute 59-2229 suffered engine problems. Both Otters landed at Bush Field, Augusta, Georgia. When it became apparent that 59-2229 would need major engine work, 57-6135 flew on to Fort Rucker. 59-2229 was to remain at Bush Field for some months before it was repaired and completed its journey to Fort Rucker.

    From 1981 to January 1991

    Assigned to Guthrie Field, Fort Rucker, AL for storage.
    Aircraft was parked with other Otters at the Army Aviation Museum.

    January 1991

    To Arlene Harnden, Reno, NV with new c/r N382BH.

    February 1991

    To Connor C. Thomas, Eagle River, AK. DBA 40 Mile Air, Tok, AK keeping c/r N382BH.

    9 May 1991

    Certificate of airworthiness for N382BH (DHC-3, 382) issued.

    From 28 May 1991 to December 1999

    To Taquan Air Service Inc, Ketchikan, AK keeping c/r N382BH.
    Company ceased operation in December 1999.

    May 1995

    Converted to a DHC-3-T.
    Converted to a Vazar turbine Otter at Ketchikan.

    January 2000

    To Ketchum Air Service, Anchorage, AK keeping c/r N382BH.
    Possibly leased while TaquanaCOs liquidation was undertaken.

    November 2001

    To Hill Aircraft Service, Prince George, BC keeping c/r N382BH.

    27 December 2002

    Civil registration, N382BH, cancelled.
    Exported to Canada.

    7 January 2003

    To Kluane Aviation Corporation, Prince George, BC with new c/r C-FHAS.

    From 4 April 2005 to 28 September 2010

    To North Pacific Seaplanes Ltd, Prince Rupert, BC keeping c/r C-FHAS.
