    Raced as #24, named Valley Turtle.
    The race was from Rosemond, CA, to Cleveland. This was the first race-horse start. Competed at the National Air Races Cleveland in the Bendix Reciprocating Division race. The primary pilot was Leland H Cameron. Started the B Feature race, but was disqualified. Arrived after the deadline.

    Summarized NTSB narrative from report number MIA66A0048: There were no fatalities. Incident occurred at 12:39 hours. The damage was substantial. Incident occurred at the Atlanta Airport, Atlanta, GA. The gear retracted while taxiing from landing.

    28 September 1995

    Crashed.
    There were five fatalities. The accident occurred at Odessa, TX, United States while maneuvering. The airframe was destroyed. Witnesses observed the aircraft approximately 250 feet above the ground heading towards the southwest. As the aircraft passed overhead, the engines were sputtering. Approximately 3/4 mile from the witnesses, the aircraft made a sharp right turn, nosed down and impacted the ground. The engines quit prior to the aircraft turning right...
