Mr. Hesch reports (November 2014): I was a Flight mechanic and last crew chief of this airplane at Edwards AFB, CA, It was part of Base Flight. My last tour at Edwards AFB was from January 1974 until July 1976. It was one of 6 C-131Bs, A C-118 and 2 T-39s in Base Flight. I think it suffered an engine loss during approach to El Centro. The engine was changed and I believe it went to Davis Monthon from there.

    Withdrawn from use.
