    Constructed as an AH-1G-BF by Bell at Fort Worth, Texas, USA.

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Army with s/n 67-15496.

    Notes: Caption: Warrant Officer 1 Marvin Beck Jr. poses for a photo in Vietnam in 1971 next to the AH-1 Cobra that he flew as a member of B Troop, 7th Squadron, 1st Air Cavalry Squadron in 1971. The helicopter is on display outside of the Idaho Military Divisions headquarters building.

    Transferred to B Troop, 7th Squadron, 1st Air Cavalry Squadron.

    24 March 1971

    While being flown by Warrant Officer 1 Marvin Beck, Jr., this AH-1G knocked out an NVA tank and heavily damaged two more. It is believed that this was the first time a Cobra knocked out a tank during the Vietnam War, and likely the first time in history.

    Converted to an AH-1F.

    By 21 May 2001

    Assigned to Fort Drum, NY for storage.
