    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Air Force with s/n 65-0796.

    Transferred to 4th TFS, 432nd TRW, Udorn Royal Thai Air Force Base, Thailand.
    Operated with markings: UD

    8 January 1973

    Shot down a VPAF MiG-21 over North Vietnam. Captain Paul D. Howman and First Lieutenant Lawrence W. Kullman, 4th Tactical Fighter Squadron, 432d Tactical Reconnaissance Wing, flying McDonnell F-4D-29-MC Phantom II 65-0796, were leading a flight of two fighters on combat air patrol in Route Pack III. Their call sign was CRAFTY ONE. This was the last aerial victory for the USAF before North Vietnam signed the ceasefire agreement which went into effect Jan 29, 1973.

    Transferred to 18th TFW, Kadena AB, Okinawa, Japan.

    Transferred to 421st TFS, 388th TFW, Hill AFB, UT.

    By 1984

    Transferred to 308th TFTS, 31st TFW, Homestead AFB, FL.

    By 1988

    Transferred to 307th TFS, 31st TTW, Homestead AFB, FL.
    Operated with markings: HS, 307 TFS

    21 March 1988

    Permanently withdrawn from use.

    After March 1988

    To National Museum of the United States Air Force Loan Program, Wright Field, Dayton, OH.
