    Constructed as a Hurricane I by Hawker at Brooklands.

    3 June 1938

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Royal Air Force with s/n L1592.

    17 August 1940

    Attacked by Bf-109E. Damaged in the forced landing near Croydon which followed the attack.

    October 1940

    Transferred to RAF Henlow.

    Repaired.

    Returned to service.

    1945

    Assigned to RAF Sealand for storage.
    Stored for future museum use.

    From By 1950 to By 1954

    Transferred to RAF Air Historical Branch, Stanmore.

    Markings Applied: DT A
    Used as a traveling exhibit.

    Markings Applied: US D
    Continued use as a traveling exhibit.

    16 December 1954

    To Science Museum, South Kensington, London.

    From By 1954 to By 1960

    On behalf of the owner stored with/at RAF Sydenham.

    1960

    Transported by ground. Delivered to Hawker, Dunsford.
    Moved to Dunsford for restoration by Hawker to static display standards.

    Restored.
    Markings Applied: L1592, KW Z

    May 1961

    To Science Museum, South Kensington, London, London, England.
    Delivered to the museum of displayed.
