AH-1G 68-15130 was involved in a combat incident during an unknown mission in South Vietnam. While attacking at 600 feet, it was hit twice by 7.62mm small arms fire on the left side, damaging the main rotor system, structure, and landing gear. Despite the damage, the helicopter continued flight but was diverted before completing its mission. It was repaired in theater.
