    Constructed as a F-111A.

    Circa 1966

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Air Force with s/n 66-0023.

    Converted to an EF-111A.

    New construction number, EF-17, assigned to the airframe.

    By February 1991

    Transferred to 42 ECS, Saudi Arabia.

    14 February 1991

    Crashed.
    Two versions of crash. 1) Crashed during combat manoeuvring while being mistakenly targeted by an F-15. 2) Aircraft was damaged by ground fire over Iraq and crew nursed the aircraft back across the Saudi Arabia border and ejected, but neither survived.
