    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Air Force with s/n 53-0360.

    To 9th Aerial Refueling Squadron, Mountain Home Air Force Base, ID.

    Converted to a KC-97L.

    October 1975

    Transferred to 181th Air Refuelling Squadron/136th Air Refuelling Wing, Dallas NAS, TX.

    17 September 1976

    Transferred to the Military Aircraft Storage and Disposal Center (MASDC) with inventory number CH572.

    By 1980

    To National Museum of the United States Air Force Loan Program, Wright Field, Dayton, OH.

    Last flight.
    Flew into Malmstrom for the final flight.

    Loaned to 341 SW/MU, Malmstrom AFB, MT.

    26 August 1980

    Placed on display with Malmstrom AFB Museum, Malmstrom AFB, Great Falls, MT.

    Displayed as a KC-97G that was assigned to the 97th ARS at Malmstrom and was destroyed in a fire after rolling off the runway.
