    Constructed as a C-47B-20-DK by Douglas at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, USA.

    New construction number, 27127, assigned to the airframe.

    12 January 1945

    Assigned s/n 43-49866 with the United States Army Air Force for administrative purposes. It did not serve with this service.

    19 February 1945

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Royal Australian Air Force with s/n A65-69.

    19 February 1945

    Transferred to No. 3 Aircraft Depot, RAAF Station Amberley, QLD, Australia.
    Radio callsign VHCUZ assigned.

    23 February 1945

    Transferred to No. 37 Squadron, RAAF Station Laverton, VIC, Australia.
    Operated with markings: OM-Z

    18 June 1980

    Assigned s/n ZD215 with the Royal Air Force for administrative purposes. It did not serve with this service.

    18 June 1980

    It was placed on RAF registry as ZD215 for delivery flight to RAF Station Gatow. Up to 1989 only aircraft of the four occupying powers: USA, UK, France and USSR were allowed to fly into West Berlin.

    Placed on display with RAF Station Gatow, West Berlin.
    Upon arrival original RAAF colours and markings were restored and the aircraft was placed as a memorial of Australian contribution to the Berlin Airlift.
