    Constructed as a XV-6A.

    Circa 1964

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Royal Air Force with s/n XS692.

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Air Force with s/n 64-18266.

    30 July 1970

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration with s/n 520 {2}.
    XS692 became the second NASA 520 when the first XV-6A with that designation (ex XS694/64-18268) crashed. Substantial parts from the latter were used to make XS692 airworthy again for NASA research use at Langley.

    From 30 July 1970 to 19 July 1974

    Transferred to NASA Langley Research Center, Langley Field, VA.

    September 1976

    Placed on display with Air Power Park, Hampton, VA.
