    Constructed as a 747-2F6B.
    Aircraft was built at Boeing Seattle, but once the airframe was completed it was flown to Wichita, KS for installation of interior and all unique communications and electronics.

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Air Force with s/n 86-8900 as a VC-25A.

    Reserialed to continue sequence of Presidential transport serials.

    Transferred to 89th Military Airlift Wing, Andrews AFB, MD.

    12 July 1991

    Transferred to 89th Airlift Wing, Andrews AFB, MD.
    Unit renamed.
