    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Army Air Force with s/n 42-92633.

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Royal Air Force with s/n KG420 as a Dakota III.

    October 1944

    Transferred to 233 Squadron, Blakehill Farm, Swindon.

    18 February 1946

    To British Overseas Airways Corporation with new c/r G-AGZA.

    By 5 March 1946

    To Railway Air Services, Croydon Airport keeping c/r G-AGZA.

    19 December 1946

    Destroyed in a crash.
    Summary: The airframe was written off. The domestic scheduled passenger flight departed London-Northolt Airport (NHT/EGWU), United Kingdom and was destined for Glasgow-Renfrew Airport, United Kingdom. The accident occurred at 1 km (0. 6 mls) NE of London-Northolt Airport (NHT) (United Kingdom) while in the initial climb. Narrative: It was a cold, snowy evening at London-Northolt Airport, when the DC-3 taxied into position for takeoff. The snow storm had closed the airport to incoming traffic, and outbound traffic was subject to long delays...

    Notes: Aircraft of Railway Air Services crashed in Ruislip, after taking off from London Northolt without clearing snow from its wings. The aircraft landed on top of a house at 46 Angus Drive in the London suburb of Ruislip.
