    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Navy with BuNo 148276.

    Transferred to Naval Air Test Center, Patuxent River, MD.

    6 July 1962

    Redesignated as YP-3A.

    31 December 1965

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration with s/n 927.

    Redesignated as NP-3A.

    25 August 1969

    To National Aeronautics and Space Administration, Houston, TX with new c/r N927NA.

    From February 1978 to 1993

    To National Aeronautics and Space Administration, NAS Wallops Island, VA with new c/r N428NA (NP-3A, 148276).
