    Notes: During the 1980s several ex-military Caribous were flown from Europe to the USA. Two of them stopped at Ipswich Airport en route. N400NC was destroyed in a fatal crash in Canada after conversion to turboprop

    27 August 1992

    Crashed.
    Summary: The airframe was written off. There were three fatalities. It was a local testing flight from Gimli Airport, MB (YGM/GYGM), Canada. The accident occurred at Gimli Airport, MB (YGM) (Canada) while in the initial climb. Narrative: The aircraft took off for a test flight for a turbine-engine conversion programme. It climbed steeply, rolled to the right and crashed in a nose-down, rightwing-low attitude.
