    Appeared at the National Championship Air Races to compete in the Unlimited class, but did not qualify. There is photo evidence this Mustang attended in 1967, but it is not clear if there was an intent to compete.

    Competed in the U. S. Cup Race event. The primary pilot was William Jackson. Started the One Mile Course race, but did not finish. Finished 48 laps. After the pit stop the hot engine reused to re-start.

    Competed in the California 1000 Air Races event. The primary pilot was Bill Jackson. Raced in the One Mile Course race. Finished in 3rd place with an average speed of 323.84 mph. Finished 39 laps.
