    Circa 1941

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Army Air Force with s/n 41-13570.

    23 January 1942

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Russia Air Force and operated with these markings: white 51.

    1 June 1942

    Shot down.
    Ditched in Lake Kod-yawt, near Murmansk.

    31 August 1997

    Recovered.
    Retrieved from the fresh water lake. Was lifted out by a Ka25 helicopter. This was an intact airframe with engine.

    From 1998 to 1999

    To Frontline Aviation Museum, Sandown.
    Placed on display here. EVENT[OWNLOAN].

    26 August 1998

    Transported by ship.
    The complete hulk arrived at Sandown, Isle of Wight.

    2000

    To Peter R. Monk and Mike Simpson, Maidstone, UK.

    2000

    To Golden Aviation Partnership/David Gouldsmith, Cassville, MO.

    From 2002 to 2015

    To Greg Epple and James Goode, Jefferson City, MO.

    2008

    Restored.
    Intent was to return the airframe to flying condition.

    From 2015 to 2022

    Abandoned at Claudio Coltri, Italy.

    September 2015

    Transported by ship.
    Arrived at Auckland-Ardmore, NZ, for a new rebuild.

    June 2020

    The restored fuselage was mounted on wings.

    14 May 2021

    To Pioneer Aero Ltd, Auckland-Ardmore with new c/r ZK-MOM.
    Registered for test flying.

    June 2021

    Engine runs at Ardmore.

    Markings Applied: 113570
    Finished in USAAF markings.

    First flight.

    Civil registration, ZK-MOM, cancelled.
    Exported to Italy.
