    Transferred to 603rd Bomb Squadron, 398th Bomb Group, Nuthampstead (Station 131), Hertfordshire.
    Operated with markings: N7 A, Uptown Express

    7 November 1944

    Written off.
    Accident landing from a non-operational flight when the aircraft ran off the runway and nosed over at Nuthampstead.

    Notes: Photo taken by Sgt. Marvin Wallerstedt. Sgt. Wallerstedt served in the Army Air Force in England at a Sub Depot of an engineering department repairing damaged aircraft. He took many photos of damaged B-17s, many of which were subsequently destroyed.
