    Transferred to North Atlantic Wing, Air Transport Command, Dow Field, Bangor, ME.

    26 April 1944

    Transferred to 603rd Bomb Squadron, 398th Bomb Group, Nuthampstead (Station 131), Hertfordshire.
    Operated with markings: N7 F

    21 October 1944

    Crashed.
    Returning from a practice mission, the aircraft crash landed at Nuthampstead. 1 killed in the crash.

    Notes: Photo taken by Sgt. Marvin Wallerstedt. Sgt. Wallerstedt served in the Army Air Force in England at a Sub Depot of an engineering department repairing damaged aircraft. He took many photos of damaged B-17s, many of which were subsequently destroyed.
