    Operated as a bomber trainer.

    18 September 1947

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Air Force with s/n 44-30733.

    November 1948

    Based with 3575th Pilot Training Wing, Vance AFB, TX.
    Operated as a bomber trainer.

    March 1954

    Converted to a TB-25N.

    April 1954

    Based with Randolph AFB, TX.
    Operated as a bomber trainer.

    From August 1958 to 1959

    Assigned to Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ for storage.

    December 1959

    To National Metals, Phoenix, AZ, with new c/r N9088Z.

    From December 1959 to 1966

    To Johnson Flying Service, Missoula, MT keeping c/r N9088Z.

    Markings Applied: 8Z
    Converted to Fire Tanker- based in Alaska.

    From 1966 to 1970

    To Edgar L. Thorsrud, Missoula, MT keeping c/r N9088Z.

    Operated as fire service #8Z.

    Crashed.
    Double engine failure departing Ft. Wainright. Forced landing on Sandbar in Tanana River near Fairbanks, AK. All crew survived without injuries.

    July 1969

    Engines recovered - but airframe left derelict at crash site, Tanana River for 44 years.

    14 January 1977

    Civil registration, N9088Z, cancelled.
    Status (N9088Z): Civil registration revoked.
