    Constructed as a HH-52A.

    Circa 1968

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Coast Guard with s/n 1455.

    By October 1969

    Transferred to Aviation Training Center, CGAS Mobile, AL.

    From May 1980 to October 1980

    Transferred to USCG Cutter Courageous.
    Protecting refugee vessels and supporting immigration control efforts during the Mariel, Cuba to Key West, Florida mass exodus. Was involved in saving nearly 30 Cuban refugees after their boat sank in the Straights of Florida.

    By 1986

    Transferred to CGAS Detroit, MI.
