    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Army Air Force with s/n 42-109436.
    NTU. Order for USAAF cancelled; diverted to the US Navy as N2S-5.

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Navy with BuNo 43375 as a N2S-5.

    By February 1945

    Transferred to Fighter Squadron Operational Training Unit 8 (VF-OTU-8), NAS Daytona Beach, FL.

    7 February 1945

    Damaged.
    Substantially damaged in an accident landing at NAS Daytona Beach.

    2 June 1985

    Crashed.
    The accident occurred at the Private Strip Airport Lake Odessa, MI, United States while landing. The damage was substantial. Upon landing the aircraft veered to the right. Power left rudder were applied, however, the aircraft continued to the right. Power was reduced but the aircraft continued to the right. The aircraft nosed over after coming in contact with a soft, plowed field. The landing was made to the south with winds from 270 degrees at 5 knots.
