    Constructed as a P-51D-25-NA by North American at Inglewood, California, USA.

    Circa 1944

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Army Air Force with s/n 44-72917.

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the PhilAir Force with s/n 44-72917.

    Restored.
    The center section and parts from USAAF 44-72917 combined with parts from RAAF s/n A68-912 c/r PI-C651 were used in this restoration. The resulting airframe adopted the ID of RAAF s/n A68-912 c/r PI-C651.

    Hit pole during forced landing, Manila Airport, struck several cars, came to rest inverted.

    A Skyraider collided with this Mustang during flypast at airshow at Duxford. The Mustang crashed after the pilot, Rob Davies, baled out and was unhurt.
