    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Armee de Terre with s/n 24555 as a 305C.

    Certificate of airworthiness for N4431D (L-19E, 24555) issued.

    To unknown owner with c/r N4431D.

    15 April 1984

    Crashed.
    The accident occurred at Ontario, CA, United States while maneuvering. The airframe was destroyed. The pilot stated that during descent he used left wing down, nose yawed right, slipping. The fuel selector was positioned to the left fuel tank. A thousand flight slip the aircraft engine lost power. During the emergency corrective actionthe pilot did not use the boost pump. The boost pump is necessary for restart when fuel pressure is interuppted.
