Notes: My father (Booker Cornea) owned a share of this aircraft in the late 1960s. It was based out of the now defunct WestAir strip at Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada. I do not know who the other owners were at the time, but I believe one was a retired RCAF instructor.

Certificate of airworthiness for NX44110 (HARVARD MK IV, CCF-4-110) issued.

    October 1982

    Crashed.
Report by Daniel Joyce: I was half owner of this aircraft. I was in the back seat when it was involved in a crash at the airshow at Apple Valley airport caused by a severe cross wind. The paint job. Green and tan over yellow was based on a canadian military paint job. I have some photos taken at our homebase in Banning, California. Somewhere I even have some taken after the accident. This was the first warbird I ever soloed, I did that about four hours after I got my licence signed off at Corona calif.

    By October 1982

To unknown owner with c/r N44110.

    20 October 1984

    Crashed.
The accident occurred at the Apple Valley Airport (APV) Apple Valley, CA, United States while landing. The damage was substantial. Pilot had executed successful crosswind landing and was decelerating on roll-out when a gust of wind caused the aircraft to swerve into the wind. Directional control could not be regained with rudder so pilot elected to attempt go-around. Aircraft became airborne in ground effect, stalled and the left wing dropped, striking an airport fence.
For a complete description of the event read the NTSB Report.
