    Constructed as an O-2A-CE by Cessna at Wichita, KS, USA.

    2 November 1967

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Air Force with s/n 67-21424.

    Circa November 1967

    To 23D TASS, 56th SOW, Nakhon Phanom RTNB, Thailand.

    From Circa January 1968 to Circa July 1968

    Flew missions over Khe Sanh during the siege.

    From Circa February 1971 to Circa March 1971

    Flew in Quang Tri province to support the RVN strike into Laos (Operation Lam Son 719).

    During its time over Southeast Asia, 424 had several encounters with the enemy. It bears 14 bullet hole scab patches on various parts of its airframe witness to its combat service.

    August 1971

    Returned to the United States.

    September 1971

    Transferred to 704th TASS, Shaw AFB, SC.

    August 1974

    Transferred to 169th TASS, 182D TASG, Illinois ANG, Peoria International Airport, Peoria, IL.

    December 1978

    Transferred to 172nd TASS, 110th TASG, Michigan ANG, W. K. Kellogg Airport, MI.

    October 1980

    Transferred to the Military Aircraft Storage and Disposal Center (MASDC).

    To National Museum of the United States Air Force Loan Program, Wright Field, Dayton, OH.

    From Unknown to 1994

    To U. S. Air Force with new c/r N424AF.

    From Circa 1995 to Circa 2005

    To Environmental Air Services, Fernandina Beach, FL keeping c/r N424AF.
    Used for whale population surveys, associated environmental work, and made occasional appearances in local airshows.

    Certificate of airworthiness for N424AF (O-2A, 67-21424) issued.

    12 April 2005

    To Atlantic Aerial Research Inc, Wilmington, DE with new c/r N137RM.
