    Constructed as a Shackleton MR.2C.

    From 10 April 1953 to 4 May 1972

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Royal Air Force with s/n WL751.

    May 1955

    Transferred to 24 Squadron, Gibraltar.

    Markings Applied: M

    4 May 1972

    To Shackleton Aviation, Bagington, Coventry.

    18 July 1974

    Notes: WL751/M - Shackleton MR.2C - Baginton - Issued to 224 Squadron at Gibraltar in May 1955, the aircraft took part in the month-long goodwill tour of South America in April/May 1957. Withdrawn in early 1972 having also served with Nos 210 and 204 Squadrons

    It was hoped that it could be sold to the Confederate Air Force in the US, but this did not happen and the airframe was scrapped in January 1975.
