From F-105 Thunderchiefs by W. Howard Plunkett: First flight from Republic Aircraft, Farmingdale, NY, to Calverton, NY. Flown by Republic test pilot Hank Beaird. First F-105 flown from the Republic factory. Aircraft flew for 60 minutes and had erratic trailing edge flap operation and fuel venting on deceleration. |
