Qualified in 5th place with an average speed of 402.71 mph. Raced in Heat 1. No time was recorded and finished in 4th place. Raced in the Trophy race. No time was recorded and finished in 6th place. On the final lap, Loves engine went and he started pulling up. The contest judge declared that he was more than 500 ft above the course and thus disallowed his second place finish and dropped to the sixth official finishing position. This was protested to no avail. |
