    Transferred to 405 Squadron Royal Canadian Air Force.
    Operated with markings: VN-113

    31 July 1968

    Struck off Strength/Charge from the Royal Canadian Air Force.
    Retired with 7,750 hours on the airframe.

    To Saskatoon AB, SK.

    To California Airframe Parts Co., Oakland, CA.

    To Flying Fireman Ltd/R. L. Rude, Victoria, BC.

    November 1971

    Ferry permit issued for a flight from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, to Victoria, BC.

    Notes: The British Columbia Forest Service conducted evaluations on this Lockheed P2V-7 Neptune in 1972. It was then with Flying Fireman of Victoria BC. It carried 2400 Imperial gallons of retardant in the tank. It never received type certification and as a result it was not used again

    Converted to a fire tanker at Medford, OR, with the installation of a 3,000 gallon tank.

    April 1972

    The modifications were not accepted by the Canadian Department of Transporation.

    Ferry permit issued for a flight from Victoria, BC, to Missoula, MT.

    From 15 March 1973 to By 1975

    To Johnson Flying Service, Missoula, MT with new c/r N14448.

    21 March 1973

    Civil registration, CF-MQW, cancelled.
    Exported to the U.S.A.

    14 June 1973

    Certificate of airworthiness for NR14448 (P2V-7, 8013) issued.

    Operated as fire service #A16.

    To unknown owner with c/r N14448.
    Sale reported to a new owner in Alamogordo, NM.

    To Black Hills Aviation, Alamogordo, NM.

    Operated as fire service #A16.
    Converted to a fire tanker, tanker.

    1975

    Crashed.
    Summary: The airframe was written off. Narrative: The Neptune was damaged beyond repair. It was later moved to the Pima Air Museum, Arizona, where it was restored using parts from P-2H Neptune 147957 (c/n 7207).
