    Built by Jim Strode of Melbourne, FL. This was the second Shoestring built.

    Raced as #39, named Yellow Jacket.
    Appeared at the Wilson Regional Air RAces to compete in the F1 class, but did not qualify. The primary pilot was Dusty Burrows. Raced in the Reserve race. Finished in 3rd place with an average speed of 171.756 mph. Did not qualify due to arriving late.

    From 31 May 1972 to 4 June 1972

    Raced as #39, named Yellow Jacket.
    Competed at the TRANSPO 72 in the Formula One class. The primary pilot was Hugh Alexander. Qualified in 6th place with an average speed of 204.00 mph. Raced in Heat 1A. Finished in 4th place with an average speed of 196.76 mph. Raced in Heat 2B. Finished in 6th place with an average speed of 196.13 mph.

    From 11 September 1973 to 16 September 1973

    Raced as #39, named Hugh Baby.
    Appeared at the National Championship Air Races to compete in the F1 class, but did not qualify. The primary pilot was Bob Moeller. Did not start in the Make-Up race.

    Raced as #85, named Superskate.
    Competed at the National Championship Air Races in the Formula One class. The primary pilot was Robin Reid. Qualified in 22nd place with an average speed of 169.662 mph. Raced in Heat 1C. Finished in 7th place with an average speed of 164.209 mph. Raced in Heat 2D. Finished in 4th place with an average speed of 171.645 mph. Raced in the Medallion 2 race. Finished in 6th place with an average speed of 167.179 mph.

    Raced as #85, named Superskate.
    Competed at the National Championship Air Races in the Formula One class. The primary pilot was Robin Reid. Qualified in 22nd place with an average speed of 188.358 mph. Started Heat 1C, but did not finish. Did not start in Heat 2D. Raced in the Medallion 2 race. Finished in 6th place with an average speed of 156.231 mph.

    Competed at the National Championship Air Races in the Formula One class. The primary pilot was Robin Reid. Qualified in 15th place with an average speed of 207.487 mph. Raced in Heat 1B. Finished in 8th place with an average speed of 201.073 mph. Raced in Heat 2D. Finished in 3rd place with an average speed of 195.069 mph. Raced in the Consolation race. Finished in 4th place with an average speed of 197.608 mph.

    Restoration started.
    A full rebuild has commenced using all new carbon fiber fueselage skins made using the original Nemesis molds. It is to be raced as #85 Deja vu.

    Appeared at the National Championship Air Races to compete in the F1 class, but did not qualify. The primary pilot was Eric Dienst. Raced in Heat 2B. Finished in 3rd place with an average speed of 224.747 mph. Overturned on the runway while launching for qualifications. The pilot, Eric Dienst, was not seriously injured.
