    Jim Harris and crew needed something to keep them busy this winter until spraying resumed, so they built a new wing for Race 25. Ken Stockbarger designed the wing, which really altered the aircrafts appearance. Many people have felt a new wing was all that was needed to move this aircraft near the top. Crewing for Jim were Jack Garcia and Ida Harris. Competed in the International Formula 1 San Diego event. The primary pilot was James Harris. Raced in Heat 1B. Finished in 3rd place with an average speed of 211.416 mph. Raced in Heat 2C. Finished in 4th place with an average speed of 220.035 mph. Raced in the Championship race. Finished in 3rd place with an average speed of 204.557 mph.
