    Appeared at the National Championship Air Races to compete in the F1 class, but did not qualify. The primary pilot was Ken Burmeister.

    Raced as #4, named FIRE FLY.
    Competed at the National Championship Air Races in the Formula One class. The primary pilot was Ken Burmeister. Qualified in 12th place with an average speed of 159.76 mph. Raced in Heat 1A. Finished in 5th place with an average speed of 157.66 mph. Raced in Heat 2B. Finished in 6th place with an average speed of 152.87 mph. Raced in the Reserve race. Finished in 6th place with an average speed of 158.34 mph.

    Competed at the National Championship Air Races in the Formula One class. The primary pilot was Ken Burmeister. Qualified in 22nd place with an average speed of 177.92 mph. Did not start in the Make-Up race.

    Crashed.
    There was one fatality. The accident occurred at Shelton, WA, United States while on appoach. The airframe was destroyed.
