    Constructed as a DHC-1 by de Havilland Canada at Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

    From 5 April 1950 to 25 June 1956

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Royal Air Force with s/n WB601.

    To Royal Newcastle Aero Cub.

    7 September 1960

    To Edward Harvey, Bannockburn, VIC with new c/r VH-BCA.

    From 21 September 1965 to 14 February 1972

    To Bob Couper Pty Ltd of Cunderdin, WA keeping c/r VH-BCA.

    Notes: VH-BCA was a Sasin-Aerostructures SA-29 Spraymaster Chipmunk conversion, one of 3 completed in Sydney in 1965-67.Bob Couper Co, Cunderdin used it as sprayer, duster also glider tug, in which role it is seen at Beverey WA in November 1970

    Converted to a Sasin by Spraymaster.
    New construction number, DH-HF-46, assigned to the airframe.
    Built up using the stripped airframes of two former RAF Chipmunks purchased from the Royal Newcastle Aero Club spares collection, namely RAF s/n WG412 c/r G-AOUC and RAF s/n WB601.

    From 13 July 1975 to 13 July 1977

    To Bob Moro keeping c/r VH-BCA.
    Used as both a spray duster and a gliding tug for Far North Queensland Soaring Club at Mareeba.

    13 July 1977

    Withdrawn from use.

    Notes: The sad sight of VH-BCA with weathered paintwork, parked in high grass at Mareeba Qld in April 1978. It had been retired following use as a glider tug here. It was saved and restored, later to be rebuilt as a stock Chipmunk
