    Struck off Strength/Charge from the United States Navy.

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Royal Canadian Navy with s/n 53420 as a Avenger III and operated with these markings: 343.

    26 October 1951

    Transferred to Fairey Aircraft of Canada.

    By 3 April 1952

    Converted to an Avenger AS.3 by Fairey Aviation at Canada.

    From 17 April 1952 to 11 August 1954

    Transferred to 881, 30 CAG.

    8 October 1954

    Converted to an Avenger AS.3M by Fairey Aviation at Canada.

    6 August 1955

    Transferred to VS 880.

    6 February 1956

    Transferred to VX 10.

    28 May 1957

    Transferred to VS 880 (IR).

    Transferred to VU 32.

    Crashed.
    A/C taxiied into wooden hut enclosing steam pipe, pilot error.

    Purchased for $20,000.

    Operated as fire service #16.

    8 June 1981

    Crashed.
    Owned by FPL and piloted by W. Farrell experienced a loss of engine power while taking off from Boston Brook Airstrip. The take-off was aborted and the aircraft came to a stop in the cleared but upgraded area beyond the south end of the runway. The pilot was not injured but the aircraft was extensively damaged; it was later repaired.

    From 1990 to 1994

    Withdrawn from use.
    Stored Fredericton, NB.

    To Jeff Thomas/Vintage Wings, Seattle, WA.

    December 1993

    Civil registration, C-FKCM, cancelled.

    11 February 1994

    Crashed.
    There was one fatality. The accident occurred at the Whitman Regional Airport (OSH) Oshkosh, WI, United States while taxiing. The damage was minor. A Grumman TBM-3, Avenger, sustained minor damage when it taxied into the empennage and fuselage of an amateur-built RV-6. Both aircraft were taxiing for takeoff on Papa taxiway (35 feet wide, ashphalt), which paralleled runway 18 at the Wittman Regional Airport (OSH), Oshkosh, Wisconsin. The accident occurred during the EAA AirVenture 2006 air show...
