    Transported by rail
    Due to frequent bombardments of Berlin evacuated to eastern Germany.

    1945

    Captured near village of Hammer (now Kuznica Czarnkowska) by the Polish Army together with some two dozens of other airplanes from the Berlin collection. They were in poor condition, most did not have wings. Some have been cut up with axes and hacksaws, probably during hasty evacuation from Berlin the planes were adjusted in size to fit into rail wagons.

    On behalf of the owner stored with/at Museum of Technology, Warsaw, Poland.

    Markings Applied: Ada, Alb.BII 1302/15
    Markings and color scheme represents captured German Albatros B.IIa 1302/17 which was used in 1920 by the Polish Army aviation in the Aviation Observers Officers School in Torun. The name Ada together with image of woman face painted on both sides of the cockpit are tribute to Ada Sari, a famous Polish opera singer. Note that during restoration wrong s/n year was applied, 15 instead of proper 17.
