Constructed as a Chipmunk T.10 by de Havilland at Broughton, Chester.

From 27 September 1951 to 22 September 1955

Taken on Strength/Charge with the Royal Air Force with s/n WG410.

4 June 1957

To Royal Victorian Aero Club, Cheltenham, Vic with new c/r VH-RVV.

6 February 1965

Damaged.
During a training flight from Moorabbin, the aircraft was force-landed in a paddock near Moorabbin Airport as a result of engine failure. The instructor, Doug Whitbourne, and pupil were not injured. The aircraft was damaged, although not extensively, but it was considered unlikely that it would be returned to service.

Civil registration, VH-RVV, cancelled.

The rear fuselage of VH-RVV was used in the rebuild of VH-RVE which had been damaged when it was taxied into a drainage ditch at Casey Field, Berwick, Vic. When the RVAC sold its Chipmunks, the remnants of three airframes were sold to Dick McLean.

Circa 1971

Fuselage/cockpit section sold to Tim Becroft at Tocumwal.

Sold to Brian Kelly, Tocumwal for use in the rebuild of VH-DHX (C1-0944). Subsequently the remnants of VH-RVV were sold to Gary Volkers.

6 October 2004

To Gary Volkers, Camden South, NSW with new c/r VH-MMR.

2006

To Queensland Air Museum.

2009

To Queensland Air Museum, Caloundra, Queensland.
