    Loaned to Michigan Military Air Museum, Saginaw MI.

    By 1976

    To Hawkins and Powers Aviation with new c/r N48076 (Fairchild C-119G Flying Boxcar, 11005).

    Operated as fire service #135.

    Crashed.
    Summary: The airframe was destroyed. There were three fatalities. The fire fighting flight departed Montague-Siskiyou County Airport, CA (SIY), United States of America and was destined for Redding Airport, CA (RDD/KRDD), United States of America. The accident occurred at Castle Crags State Park, CA (United States of America) while maneuvering. Narrative: The Fairchild C-119G airtanker had been dispatched to a fire about six miles west of Castle Crags State Park, California at 17:05 and departed the Siskiyou County Airport, CA (SIY) shortly thereafter...
