    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Navy with BuNo 01747.

    Crashed.
    Ditched in Lake Michigan off USS Wolverine.

    Recovered.

    In the inventory of National Naval Aviation Museum-Loan Program, NAS Pensacola, Pensacola, FL.
    The airframe may not have been moved to Pensacola.

    Sent to Herlong Airport, Jacksonville, FL, for restoration but the project did not come to fruition.

    Notes: This was taken at Herlong Airport in Jacksonville Florida March of 1993.Note:Plane is in original state and color scheme as when recovered from Lake Michigan in the 1990s. The photo was taken shortly after it is recovery I am guessing.Also note early era star insignia.
