    Transferred to 61st Troop Carrier Group, Frankfurt Rhein-Main, West Germany.

    29 June 1948

    Transferred to 7909th Base Unit, Tulln, Austria.

    1 July 1948

    Transferred to 7360th Air Base Squadron, Tulln, Austria.

    16 October 1948

    Redesignated as VB-17G.

    7 May 1949

    Transferred to 7360th Base Complement Squadron, Tulln, Austria.
    Squadron name change.

    Transferred to 7360th Air Base Group, Tulln, Austria.

    17 April 1950

    Transferred to 85th Air Depot Wing, Erding, West Germany.
    Sent to the 85th for maintenance.

    24 November 1950

    Transferred to 7167th Special Air Mission Squadron, Wiesbaden (Erbenheim), West Germany.

    7 November 1952

    Transferred to Air Defense Command.

    24 December 1952

    Transferred to 4610th Air Base Squadron, Fairfax Field, KS.

    From December 1956 to 1959

    Assigned to Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ for storage.

    From Circa April 1959 to 1964

    Transferred to Norton AFB, CA.
    Set aside for a planned museum, but never put on display due to rejection by Base commander.

    To Movieland of the Air/Tallmantz Aviation, Orange County, CA.

    From 1964 to 1966

    Loaned to 20th Century Fox Studios, CA.

    Markings Applied: 11868
    The fuselage was used as a film prop for the TV series, Twelve OClock High.

    1966

    Badly damaged by special effects at Chino, CA.effects at Chino 1966.

    1968

    To Black Hills Aviation, Spearfish, SD.
    Used the nose section to rebuild another B-17.

    1968

    The complete fueselage was on a trailer at Spearfish.

    The forward fuselage was used to restore USAAF s/n 44-85813 c/r N6694C.

    From Circa 1983 to 2001

    To Weeks Air Museum, Kendall Tamiami Executive Airport, Miami, FL.
    Only the fuselage hulk was obtained by the museum.

    On behalf of the owner stored with/at Aero Trader/Carl Scholl, Ocotillo Wells, CA.
    The fuselage sections were moved here and stored.

    To Fantasy of Flight/Kermit A. Weeks, Polk City, FL.
    Ownership transferred with the museum move, but nothing moved from Ocotillo Wells for the move. Possibly may have donated parts for a composite B-17 diorama but not confirmed.

    To Champaign Aviation Museum, Grimes Field, Urbana, OH.
    Absorbed into the restoration of B-17G-95-DL USAAF s/n 44-83722, with this airframe providing the rear fuselage, ball turret, throttle control console, and navigators astrodome.
