    Crashed.
    The accident occurred at the North Vernon Municipal Airport (OVO) North Vernon, IN, United States while landing. The damage was substantial. The pilot said that as he was crossing the threshold for landing, he detected an excessive sink rate. The pilot applied aft stick pressure and climbed to approximately 20 feet AGL, then applied power. The airplane rolled left. The left wing tip struck the terrain about 20 feet left of the runway, followed by the propeller and cowling...

    This aircraft now flies as, a reconstructed Yak-3UA. It was converted with an Allison engine while it was in US. I do not have exact dates. Registered as F-AZOS since 22 Oct 2020.

    Notes: Painted as a Yak-3 in the colours of Marcel Albert the most successful pilot of the Normandy Niemen Squadron, who served from the creation of the group in December 1942 until the end of the war and returned to France with his YaK-3 gifted by Stalin.

    Restored.
    Fitted with an Alison engine.
