    Constructed as a C-130A-LM by Lockheed at Marietta, GA.

    9 October 1958

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the United States Air Force with s/n 57-0493.

    Converted to a C-130D-LM by Lockheed at Marietta, GA.
    Originally delivered as a C-130A model, it was returned to the Lockheed factory to be modified with the ski system and redesignated C-130D.

    2 April 1959

    To 61st TCS, 314th TCW, Sewart Air Force Base, TN.

    Transferred to 17th TCS, 21st Composite Wing, Elmendorf AFB, AK.
