    Constructed as a DHC-1A-1 by de Havilland Canada at Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

    From 24 January 1950 to 25 June 1956

    Taken on Strength/Charge with the Royal Air Force with s/n WB625.

    19 September 1957

    To Royal Victorian Aero Club with new c/r VH-RVT.

    19 September 1957

    To Kevin Cruickshank with new c/r VH-RJK.

    To Ray Petersen, Proserpine keeping c/r VH-RJK.

    From January 1964 to 30 January 1964

    Ferry flight.
    Bruce Kirkwood comments (5 April 2021): On the 27th of January Ray and I departed Morrabbin for Proserpine landing at Wagga Wagga and Dubbo for fuel. After spending the night at Dubbo, we continued on to Innverell, Oakey - where we had to change a couple of very worn spark plugs - then continuing on to Kingaroy and Gayndah where we spent the night. On the 30th we flew to Bundaberg for fuel then on to Rockhampton and Mackay, arriving in Proserpine just after 17:00.

    Notes: VH-RJK was fitted with some Aerostructures Sundowner modifications in Sydney in 1968: Lycoming O-360 engine, metal skinned wings and redesigned tail, but retained the original cockpit area structure. Pictured at Cunderdin WA in January 1976 as a glider tug.
