    Circa 2011

    Restoration started.

Fritz Mehrer commented (9 September 2014): I picked up the project from a Mr. Bob Dunn in Dallas TX, about three years ago. Many parts were missing however, I have now accumulated nearly all parts needed to complete the airplane. Current status is the center section has been COMPLETELY disassembled down to separating the laminated cross struts in the center section spars. Whew, what a job. This center section is about 50 percent completed and I expect to have plywood skins glued in place, and all wood stuff done this winter. All fuselage parts have been cleaned and painted and are awaiting installation prior to joining it to the center section. Gear struts have been rebuilt and are ready to attach.
